Master of Arts in Biblical Studies
Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (BIS.M.) – 48-Credit Hour Program
This 48-credit hour program leads to a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (BIS.M.), with a focus on Ministry Studies, and does not require a thesis project.
The Biblical Studies (BIS.M.) program is designed to equip candidates with advanced biblical knowledge and professional competencies, particularly for those involved in vocational Christian ministry or counseling. At Cornerstone Christian University (CCU), the emphasis is placed on gaining practical knowledge and understanding, rather than simply obtaining the degree. As such, CCU’s standards are slightly higher than those of peer institutions, without imposing additional costs. From your first course to graduation, you’ll develop biblically grounded perspectives and gain intellectually stimulating insights, leaving you with a sense of accomplishment and pride in your education and degree.
Program Outcomes:
Upon completing the Ministry Studies program, graduates will be equipped to:
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding and integration of biblical principles in relation to ministry, academia, and educational disciplines.
- Articulate and apply a comprehensive, critical philosophy of ministry.
- Exhibit advanced skills in critical thinking, research, writing, biblical studies, biblical communication, administration, educational leadership, and Great Commission strategies.
- Plan, implement, and critically evaluate significant ministry projects that contribute to the fulfillment of the Great Commission and Great Commandment.
- Assess their personal, spiritual, and professional development, and create a plan for lifelong learning.
